These Days

photographing • pictures of leaves every time I turn around. I can't stop, you guys. It's a problem. Except not really because look how pretty.

organizing • my thoughts. My winter running gear. The ridiculous amount of candles I have no reason to own except for an undeniable obsession. My calendar.

anticipating • Richmond! Yoga Teacher Training (YTT), which starts in less than two weeks and will take over my life through the end of March (I can't wait). My next race, a small Thanksgiving 8k.

writing • this old thing. Lots and lots of product copy. A fun story for Feather Mag. Articles for Brit + Co. A post about what it is that I do for a living now, as promised.

wondering • how you guys would feel if I shared some fiction excerpts of the aforementioned old thing on here? Straight up, it would be more for me (motivation) than for you (mostly unedited and rough). Thoughts?

readingThe Alchemist. Siddhartha. An unending stream of election 2016 coverage.

eating • roasted chickpeas with garlic, onion, basil, salt, and pepper.

burning • Autumn.

watching • GIRLS. I knew I watched a good bit of this show as it aired, but I couldn't remember where I left off. So I'm rewatching the first four seasons and definitely feeling differently about this show than I did when I first watched. In both really good ways and really bad ways. It's hitting home a little harder than before.

wearing • hats, hats, glorious cozy hats.

adjusting • to life after the marathon. For months, everything had been done with the marathon in mind. I can't count how many times I said something like, "I'll do that after the marathon," or, "I'll worry about that after the marathon." Well, it's after the marathon, and I've got a long list.

What's going on with you these days?

  1. I love Richmond, have fun this weekend!! Personally, I would enjoy reading some fiction pieces. I bought some chickpeas to roast earlier this week, but I kept forgetting to do it!
