Currently: Springing Forward

I was hoping that by the time the April edition of Kristin & Gretchen's linkup came around I'd have some very springy updates to share. But as I write this it's in the low 40ºs and that's warm for this week. But what can you do? Onward.
What's New With You

[writing] blogs for Bad Yogi, like this one. A business plan, website copy, and a product sample. You guys, I cannot wait to share this project with you in a few weeks! I really think you're going to love it. (At least I hope you will.)

[eating] Blue Apron. Remind me to write a post about my experience with Blue Apron one of these days, would ya? Also, I'm weirdly obsessed with this Utz Snack Mix. It's your basic party mix: cheese doodles, pretzels, tortilla chips, Doritos, and something sort of like Fritos. I'm addicted.

[burning] a lovely chamomile and honey candle I received as a birthday gift from Tracy.

[watching] nothing specific. I started rewatching LOST, but I couldn't focus.

[wearing] nothing but yoga pants, pretty much every single day of my life. (This is 100% not even remotely a complaint.)

[reading] Life of Pi. I've been an incredibly slow reader for the past few months; mostly because I've been working late nights and crashing into bed too late to spend any time with my book. But in other birthday generosity, Dani gifted me a book set I've been wanting to re-read for YEARS, so I'm hoping to finish Pi soon and get started on The Tao of Pooh and The Te of Piglet. The Casual Vacancy is on hold, because I just can't.

[planning] my cousin's bridal shower this weekend! I'm, well, honored to be her maid of honor and can't wait to see this shower I've been planning for months come together. Not gonna lie though, I really can't wait for it to be over and have this off my plate too. Also planning yoga classes, dharma talks, and my new creation.

[hoping] the shower goes off without a hitch. It starts to feel like spring (again, I mean—it was 80º one day last week...) around here soon.

Linking up with Kristen & Gretchen. What's new with you?

  2. That candle sounds amazing.

I often simultaneously look forward to things I'm running and while also looking forward to them being over. At one point it gets to be a lot, no matter what IT is.

    Spring is MIA.

  4. This weather is annoying.

So excited to see your new project! And I wear yoga pants every day and I don't do yoga so I totally approve of your wardrobe selection since it also serves a purpose for you. You're dressed for work!

  5. I'm so glad I'm not the only one that just can't with The Causal Vacancy. 3 Times I've tried to pick that book up and at this point I'm just going to leave it alone for years.

And please help me pick out candles because I stand in the Target aisle for at least 30 minutes and walk away with nothing.

And yay for the thing ! Can we know about the thing soon ?!

  6. First of all - miss you girl. Sometimes during the day when I get a moment I come and read your posts (though I dont always have time to comment) so Im actually all caught up.

Please share about Blue Apron - Though I cant buy it myself I love to see youtubers talking about it.

Wearing yoga pants is really not a complain - Im with ya on that.

Im sure the shower will go off without a hitch! Again missed you friend!

  7. So you're telling me that you want Utz next time I'm inebriated and sending you snack foods via Amazon? Noted. I'm so thrilled that you're getting closer to announcing your product, I really can't wait to see the concept. Spring is coming!

  8. This weather is driving me nuts! Yes! I want to hear all about Blue Apron and I am so excited to hear about your new project.

  9. Dude, Utz has the best mixes!!! The brand is hard to find down here, basically just Costco, Sams and sometimes Walmart will carry things from their line. I have a big container of the Pub mix at my house! It has pretzel sticks, sesame crackers, cheese bread twists, some kind of toasted things, its wonderful! Cant wait to hear more about your project!!! And your thoughts on Blue Apron.

  10. Is it wrong that it makes me a little bit happy when us cold Canadians have better weather than you guys? Soon sitcoms will have to come up with some new jokes, the igloo ones are sooo outdated ;)

I loved Life of Pi, I read it at the same time as a good friend and it was definitely nice to have someone to talk to about it. I'm assuming you haven't seen the movie yet then? Definitely a must watch when you are done!

  11. The weather here has also been so crazy. Most days the high is in the 40s or 50s, but it's so windy that it feels MUCH colder. We've had a few warmer days, but I definitely wouldn't call this spring.

I'm definitely interested to read about your Blue Apron experience!

And yoga pants every day? Yes! I wear them most evenings (when I'm actually going to do yoga), but I can't wear them to work. Obviously that's not a problem when you teach yoga! :-) We have a very casual work environment (I wear jeans most days), but I still couldn't get away with that.

  12. Is Blue Apron one of those thingies that send you all the ingredients and you make the recipe? I've always wanted to try one of those.

  13. I love Blue Apron! I wish it was a little cheaper because all of their meals have been so terrific that I've tried. I can't wait to hear your experience with it! Thanks for linking up with us :)

  14. I'm so glad you like your candle! Dream on, my friend! How long has it been since Lost, like 5-6 years? The trauma is still too fresh. I'll probably never rewatch, haha. I'm SO excited to see what you come up with for your big project. I mean it could be totally blank and I'd still want it because it's you, but I know it's going to be full of amazing things because hello, it's you. I so hope the shower is amazing and beautiful and lovely and you all have the best time! <3

  15. Are you sitting down for this? I was a bridesmaid in 13 different weddings. That's right. 13. As wonderful of an honor that it is, it can be so stressful and time-consuming. I don't know what Blue Apron is, so yes, blog about it. I want to live in yoga pants. That sounds like a heavenly way to live.

  16. I saw Dharma talks and immediately thought of Lost. That was an intense show! Is this your first time reading Life of Pi? I'm interested in your thoughts on that, and Blue Apron. And can't wait to hear more about this new project! Hoping the shower goes off without a hitch!

  17. I'm with you on The Casual Vacancy... It took me FOR EVER (we're talking months) to get into it. But once I was, I couldn't put it down (and actually walked into a tree trying to finish it while walking).

  18. So I think I know the utz snack mix you're talking about and we literally can't buy it because we eat it all in one day! I hope the shower went well- I'm sure everyone had a great time! I think I'm one of the only people that didn't really love the Life of Pi movie, so I can't wait to hear what you think of the book. I have your birthday card I forgot to bring to lunch for some reason.
