Sunday Sweats 72
Monday: studio yoga class (75 minutes)
Just another great Kelly class.
Tuesday: studio yoga class (75 minutes)
I don't know how much time I spent doing it but this morning I went with Kelly to help her demonstrate arm balances and inversions during a private YTT she is doing. She's training one woman for the same program I learned from her, but Kelly injured her back the other day and was nervous about spending a few hours in inversions and arm balances, so I was more than happy to help her out. And then in the evening class Donna spent the first 30 minutes on upper body, so I was wiped out by the time Savasana rolled around.
Wednesday: active rest
Taught two classes today but no workout. Wanted to run—weather was beautiful—but there wasn't quite time, and I don't need to force it when it's not a good day for it right now.
Thursday: studio yoga class x2 (150 minutes)
AWESOME, totally butt-kicking Kelly class this morning. It's warm today so the studio warmed up quickly too. She had us in long holds and she brought a lot of core and upper body, the latter of which was a little tough for me after this week. But sun's out, guns out so I'll get it done.
I was going to head home after teaching my class, but Taryn and our friend from YTT talked me into sticking around to take Taryn's class to hear her awesome playlist. Worth it.
Friday: studio yoga class (75 minutes)
Said friend from YTT subbed a class (one of her first!) at one of our studios tonight, so three of us went out for yoga happy hour and then for dinner. The class was nice and gentle, super restorative, very hip-happy, and just perfect after a heavy week of workouts.
I thought I might run today beforehand, and I did want to. I'm getting to the point post-race where I'm starting to hate myself for not running. But I just haven't been able to prioritize it yet. It won't be long before I'm kicking myself for these two weeks off...
Saturday: home yoga practice (20 minutes)
Busy day of work, catching up with Lisa, and something else. I did squeeze in a short but sweet home practice, combining this Bad Yogi gem with a sequence from my class I'm teaching this week.
Taught in the morning, hoped I would run but an unexpected Maid of Honor duty had me driving an hour and a half and across state lines twice today, so no.
Running: 0 miles
Yoga: 320 minutes
I guess one outta two ain't bad.
